Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is expanding rapidly, and we are seeking motivated individuals to join our Infrastructure Operations team through the Catalyst Program – Foundations Track. This structured onboarding and development program is designed to accelerate the growth of early-career technicians by combining hands-on operational experience, technical training, mentorship, and career development.

The Catalyst Data Center Technician is an entry-level operational role responsible for supporting day-to-day data center activities while developing foundational technical skills. Technicians work under close to moderate supervision and follow established procedures to support hardware installations, cabling, inventory management, infrastructure maintenance, and break/fix activities. Through the Catalyst Program, technicians build the knowledge and experience required for advancement into more independent operational roles.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
Data Center Operations & Hardware Support
- Perform rack-and-stack activities for servers, network devices, and supporting infrastructure.
- Assist with server deployments, hardware upgrades, component replacements, and decommissioning activities.
- Perform basic break/fix tasks following approved procedures and escalation guidelines.
- Support hardware lifecycle management activities.
- Learn troubleshooting methodologies for server and infrastructure issues and escalate appropriately.
Network Installation & Cabling
- Install, label, organize, and maintain copper and fiber cabling infrastructure.
- Assist with network equipment installations and physical infrastructure modifications.
- Verify cable integrity and support connectivity validation activities.
- Develop understanding of networking fundamentals and data center communication standards.
Ticket Management & Operational Support
- Monitor and respond to assigned work through approved ticketing systems.
- Accurately document completed work, incidents, changes, and troubleshooting activities.
- Follow service level agreements (SLAs), operational procedures, and escalation processes.
- Escalate issues requiring advanced technical support.
Inventory & Asset Management
- Receive, track, audit, stage, and ship equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory and asset records.
- Support warehouse, logistics, and material handling activities.
Safety, Security & Compliance
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Method of Procedures (MOPs), and safety requirements.
- Adhere to security, access control, compliance, and change management standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Utilize proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow site-specific safety requirements.
Learning & Development
- Actively participate in Catalyst Program training, development, and certification opportunities.
- Build foundational knowledge in server hardware, networking, Linux, infrastructure operations, and cloud technologies.
- Seek and apply feedback to continuously improve technical and operational capabilities.
- Support team initiatives and contribute to a culture of operational excellence.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated interest in technology and a desire to build a career in data center operations.
- Ability to learn technical concepts and follow documented procedures with precision.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
- Basic understanding of mathematical and computational concepts.
- Professional attitude with a customer-focused mindset.
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this role. For clarity purposes, this means that Oracle is not in a position now, or in the future, to offer US immigration sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to computer hardware, networking, electronics, construction, logistics, military operations, manufacturing, telecommunications, or related technical environments.
- Experience working in team-based operational environments.
- Technical coursework, certifications, vocational training, or related hands-on experience.

- Reliable transportation to the assigned data center location.
- Ability to travel locally and up to 5% domestically as required.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position.
